The Bien Wedding in Jefferson City, TN

Allison and I had the pleasure of taking a trip to Jefferson City, Tennessee over Memorial Day weekend for the wedding of a great family friend. Jamie and Jamison's wedding was held in a quaint, little white church in the country, and took on a Southern Living theme. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Jamie, Jamison, and their son Connor became a beautiful family. We were honored to capture special memories that will last a lifetime for a wonderful couple!

Excella Consulting Celebrates 10 Years!

A friend of mine, Liz, asked me to shoot photos for her company. They were celebrating 10 years and decided to unwind at the famous Lucky Strike bowling center in Washington, DC. This venue is top notch. Every guest mingled, ate non-stop great food, and of course, bowled. Excella Consulting really knows how to throw a fantastic party. No wonder it was voted one of the best places to work in the Washington, DC area according the Washington Business Journal, 2009.

The Bettencourt Family at Lake Ridge Park

In early May we went down to Lake Ridge Park in Woodbridge, VA to spend an afternoon with the Betterncourt family. Their family was celebrating Kensie's 1st birthday, and relatives had travelled all the way from Florida for the celebration. They figured there was no better time to grab some family portraits since it's not often they're all in one place. We had a great time walking the park trails, feeding the ducks, and were able to capture some group shots and candid moments of a great family.

Covey/Lamb Studio Fun in the Studio!

It's always fun when a lazy Saturday afternoon turns into a fun photo shoot in the basement. Jen, Andrew and Violet came over for visit and, of course, we took the opportunity to grab some photos of their new family. It turns out that Violet is a natural in front of the camera! We were also able to get a photo of the four of us as a Mother's Day gift to my mom.

One of the coolest parts of family photography is watching families grow! Last year, we took some family portraits of our friends Chad and Anna, and their son Tyler out at Sully Plantation. A few months later, Chad called to let me know there would be a new addition to the family...a baby girl this time! Toddlers are always a fun challenge to shoot in the studio, but it was clear that Tyler is ready to be a big brother, and we can't wait to help welcome Kayla into the world this summer.
