What an adventure we had at Hidden Oaks! Nestled in the woods in Annandale, VA, Hidden Oaks offers great paths for quiet walks, trickling streams, and antique bridges. It's a nice place to surround yourself in nature. That is where we met the Luerssen family in February to capture some wonderful family moments. Andrew, who is three years old, is a strong-willed boy on a mission. He loved leading the family around the park. I think his favorite part was sliding down the slide at least a hundred times to help me grab a great shot of him. After our shoot he wanted to show us some of his new tricks on his bike. What a great boy and a super family. Thank you for allowing Covey Photography to capture these great moments.

Check out a new video of the Bakos family studio shoot! The Bakos' were hoping to get a few family portraits along with some shots of Molly (3 years) and Sebastian (8 months). If we learned anything during this shoot, it was that kids don't always feel like being in front of the camera. While Sebastian was happy as can be, it took some kid tunes, an ice cream bribe, and all of us doing the "hot dog dance" before Molly finally warmed up to the idea! We were able to catch some great video footage and a few priceless photos of a beautiful family.
